Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia seeks a District Manager to lead multiple retail locations, maximize financial results, and elevate customer experience. You will mentor Retail Operations Managers to develop in-store talent and ensure district-wide consistency in operations.

Travel throughout the Goodwill service area is required; strong budgeting, staffing, and communications skills are essential to drive district performance and associate satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business management preferred.
• 3 Years' experience in a related field required.
• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Develop store management teams within the district to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Drive the implementation of organizational initiatives in each store location.
• Plan, develop and delegate key responsibilities and best practices to the store management teams.
• Ensure timely execution of performance management, check-ins, and evaluations.
• Review store environments and district indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in budget creation for assigned store locations.
• Use management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify trends.
• Create business plans to support operational excellence and achieve goals.
• Monitor and manage district-wide staffing by location; talent development and acquisition.
• Communicate clearly to ensure effective operations in each store location.
