Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Nashville, TN is seeking a District Human Resources Manager to support district field teams and implement human capital strategy across 17 locations and 248 associates. You will report to the District Manager with a dotted line to Area HR Manager, partnering with leadership to foster engagement and compliance.

Travel 30–50% within the district is required. A Bachelor's degree is required and SHRM/HRCI certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role (generalist, specialist, recruiting) required or equivalent field operations experience with Penske.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• SHRM or HRCI Certification(s) preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
• Willingness to travel 30–50% within the home district as needed.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and partner across leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the district's retention and onboarding programs for new associates.
• Coach supervisors and managers on development plans and performance discussions.
• Collaborate with district leadership to implement HR strategies across 17 locations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and Penske policies; manage risk and investigations as needed.
• Partner with Area HR Manager and Labor Relations on investigations, policy interpretations, and workforce planning.
