Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a District Human Resources Manager to partner with district leadership and field teams to execute human capital strategy across a multi-location district in Hawaii.

The role emphasizes onboarding, talent management, workforce planning, and compliance, with no remote work and heavy collaboration with leaders in branches. The position requires 3+ years HR experience, a bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel 30–50%.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a Human Resources role (generalist, specialist, recruiting) or internal Penske experience with success.
• Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at multiple levels.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with HRIS systems; ability to travel 30–50%.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee New Associate Experience onboarding across the district.
• Coach and develop district leaders on people management and development plans.
• Collaborate with departments to determine staffing levels and recruiting strategies.
• Foster positive employee relations and ensure policy and compliance adherence.
• Support labor relations and risk assessments with Area HR Manager and District Manager.
• Participate in district succession planning and quarterly talent reviews.
• Execute the Area training plan and ensure consistent training delivery.
