Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a Driver Education District Field Supervisor to oversee Driver Education Program Specialists across a SBTS District. You will supervise field operations, coordinate territory adjustments, and ensure effective communication with school transportation departments.

You will also manage the Basic Driver Education Course and the Performance Management Program, ensuring accurate records and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing goals and objectives that support the organization’s strategic plan.
• Experience allocating resources and coordinating people and resources.
• Experience interpreting and explaining policy, procedures, rules, regulations and/or law to a diverse clientele.
• Experience monitoring and/or assessing performance and coaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10–20 Driver Education Program Specialists across a SBTS District.
• Oversee field operations across 10–25 counties and adjust territory as needed.
• Manage Basic Driver Education Course for Commercial Driving Schools, schedule instructors and maintain records.
• Run the Performance Management Program with documentation and evaluations.
