The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Program Coordinator III (S) in District 7, Macon County, to train and certify school bus drivers in the classroom and behind the wheel. This role supports driver education through instruction, assessment, and compliance with state requirements.

Responsibilities include delivering safe driving courses, evaluating CDL instructors, inspecting training schools and vehicles, and compiling weekly reports for DMV central office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered per policy.

Responsabilités

• Train and certify school bus drivers in the classroom and behind the wheel.
• Teach safe driving procedures and conduct vision/medical screenings.
• Provide CDL instructor training and inspect training schools/vehicles for compliance.
• Investigate complaints involving CDL training schools.
• Maintain reports/files and submit weekly reports to DMV central office.
