Job summary

Cape Elizabeth School Department in Maine seeks a District Data Facilitator to oversee data integrity and to serve as the district’s lead analyst, manager, and report writer for district data. You will make SIS and related data accessible for teaching and learning, train staff on data tools (PowerSchool preferred), and develop standards for data quality and reporting.

This 260-day position reports to the Director of Educational Technology and supports state and federal reporting while helping

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field required.
• Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool preferred).
• Knowledge of database design and data techniques.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Support staff with the district's student information system (SIS) and other district data systems (library, lunch, etc.)
• Serve as the district's SIS administrator
• Train and support teachers in using SIS for grading and posting to the parent/student portal
• Identify and resolve any data issues within district data systems
• Assist with school scheduling, enrollment, attendance and other SIS issues
• Develop data standards, procedures and training for district staff
• Maintain documentation of data systems, standards and procedures
• Import all assessment data into district SIS
• Design and implement pages to improve SIS functionality
• Ensure data integrity and quality
• Produce data reports for administration and staff
• Support RTI data collection and reporting
