Ameren Illinois seeks a qualified electrical engineer to lead conceptual design for new facilities and perform power system analyses. You will collaborate with Field Engineering, establish safety expectations, and drive load forecast studies and DER interconnections.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, and FE or PE is preferred. Proficiency with Synergi/PSSE, OAS, CSS, Maximo, and ADMS is expected. Based in Illinois, onsite with potential for growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• FE certification or P.E. registration preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis, field engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and corporate applications (OAS, CSS, Maximo, ADMS) and Synergi/PSSE preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop conceptual design for new facilities, collaborate with Field Engineering to issue design documents.
• Establish safety expectations and ensure superior personnel safety performance.
• Perform Load Analysis forecasting and power flow & reliability studies.
• Evaluate system load additions and DER interconnections (solar, wind, storage).
• Develop expertise in power systems analysis using Synergi and related tools.
• Assess distribution system adequacy and optimum facility changes.
• Support economic analyses including non-wire alternatives (NWA).
• Provide contingency support during outages and storm restoration.
• Prepare engineering reports and respond to ICC data requests.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering and other departments for joint studies.
