Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Manager II, Distribution Operations to oversee multiple sites or fleets with a team of managers and operational staff.

You will optimize assets through P&L analysis, ensure safe, on-time service, and maintain strong client relationships across accounts. The role may be on-site at a customer facility and requires flexibility across shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of Transportation/Logistics experience and/or 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company events.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, internal departments, and team to identify and resolve problems or issues.
• Create and execute plan for forecasted freight volumes and adjust capacity to ensure coverage and compliance.
• Facilitate and determine selection, hiring, employee trainings and development including monitoring performance progress.
• Lead personnel to resolve service issues, routing and planning for safe on-time service and inventory handling.
• May assist warehouse workers with duties including operating loading/unloading vehicles and processing receipts.
• Monitor and communicate safety standards and shipping requirements; enforce policies.
