Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Manager II, Distribution Operations in San Antonio, TX.

The role oversees one or more sites, fleet and warehouse personnel, ensuring safe, on-time service and efficient asset use. You will lead planning, staffing, and performance reviews while managing budget and profitability. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to work across shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Transportation/Logistics experience or 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• Travel to account, customer and company events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations to ensure on-time service and safety.
• Forecast freight volumes and adjust capacity to meet needs.
• Lead hiring, training and performance management.
• Monitor safety, warehousing, and shipping requirements.
• Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost control.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
