Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager in Framingham, MA to lead distribution engineers and designers in creating construction work packages for electric distribution systems. The role includes technical oversight, QA/QC, and collaboration with clients within a growing Power Distribution Engineering group.

The position offers a hybrid in-office schedule (3–4 days/week in Framingham) with potential travel and exceptional candidates considered for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years with master's.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering personnel.
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and client construction standards.
• Successful project management experience (initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control, closeout).
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Collaborative and inclusive across diverse backgrounds and locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, direction, and support for project teams.
• Function as client point of contact and liaison on project-related issues.
• Collaborate with other design managers on schedule adherence and team quality control.
• Oversee and manage existing capital, reliability, and customer project work (OH & UG).
• Facilitate client and team collaboration; manage resource loading based on client demands.
• Track scope, schedule, and budget for projects in flight; oversee QA/QC for your design team.
• Monitor team performance metrics and report financials; participate in hiring and professional development.
