Job summary

Leidos seeks a Distribution Engineering Manager in Framingham, MA to lead a team of distribution engineers and designers in creating construction work packages for electric distribution systems. You’ll provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and work with GIS/CAD/WMS tools while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

You will guide project scope, schedule, and budgets, oversee BOMs and CIAC calculations, and mentor engineers for professional growth, including PE/PMP opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering personnel.
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and client construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, direction, and support for project teams.
• Function as client point of contact and liaison on project-related issues.
• Collaborate with other design managers on client issues including schedule adherence and quality control.
• Oversee existing capital, reliability, and customer project work (reconductors, voltage conversions, load swaps, circuit rebuilds, DOT relocations, DG integrations, large new feeds).
• Facilitate client and team collaboration and manage resource loading based on client demands.
• Track scope, schedule, and budget for ongoing projects.
• Oversee QA/QC for the design team and monitor performance metrics.
