Job summary

Leidos in Framingham, MA is seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager to lead a team of distribution engineers and designers, developing construction work packages and providing technical oversight and QA/QC for complex projects.

The role uses GIS, CAD, WMS, and client systems to deliver high-quality work, including BOMs, cost estimates, permitting, Right-of-Way, CIAC calculations, and client coordination for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years with a master's degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering personnel.
• Strong knowledge of NESC and client construction standards.
• Proven project management experience (initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, closeout).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork and collaboration across locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and direction for project teams.
• Serve as client point of contact and liaison on project issues.
• Collaborate with design managers on schedule adherence and QC.
• Oversee capital, reliability, and customer project work including reconductors, voltage conversions, and new feeds.
• Manage resources and track scope, schedule, budget for active projects.
• Oversee QA/QC for the design team and monitor performance metrics.
• Contribute to hiring and professional development of designers and engineers.
• Lead efforts to ensure high-quality, client-focused outcomes.
