Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager in Framingham, MA to lead distribution engineers and designers in producing construction work packages for electric distribution systems. You will provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and ensure high-quality client service while guiding a growing team.

The role involves collaboration with GIS/CAD/WMS tools, BOMs, cost estimating, and Right‑of‑Way activities, with travel as needed and a hybrid office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 8+ years of prior relevant experience or 6+ years with master's degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering personnel.
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and client construction standards.
• Successful project management experience (initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control, closeout).
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, direction, and support for project teams.
• Function as client point of contact and liaison on project-related issues.
• Collaborate with design managers on client issues including schedule adherence and quality control.
• Oversee and manage existing capital, reliability, and customer project work.
• Facilitate client and team collaboration and manage resource loading based on client demands.
• Track scope, schedule, and budget for projects in flight.
• Oversee QA/QC for the design team and report on performance metrics.
