Job summary

Entergy Mississippi in Hernando, MS seeks a Distribution Designer I–Sr. to design distribution projects for residential and commercial customers.

You will meet with customers, prepare overhead/underground line extensions, estimate costs, and coordinate construction while supporting safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include leading pre-design meetings, performing electrical calculations, and assisting with storm restoration.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Basic theory of electricity and ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
• Familiar with safety codes and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to determine service needs and design distribution solutions.
• Coordinate pre-design and pre-construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
• Support compliance with distribution design standards and safety policies.
• Assist with ROW permits and storm restoration as needed.
