Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer (I-IV or Sr) to design distribution facilities that meet customer needs and reliability projects. The role involves meeting with customers, designing extensions (overhead and underground), estimating costs, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading pre-design meetings, performing electrical calculations, and ensuring compliance with safety and design standards while supporting storm restoration as needed.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of personal computer operations and software.
• Basic theory of electricity and ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
• Commitment to safety policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to determine electric needs and requirements.
• Design overhead and underground line extensions; estimate costs; prepare drawings.
• Coordinate pre-design and pre-construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
• Provide leadership and technical support to operations and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Assist Right of Way with permits and ROW documents.
• Support storm restoration efforts as needed.
