Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) OR 2-year Technical Associates degree OR 1-year Electric Utility Distribution design experience OR 2 years Electric Utility field operational experience OR approval by Sr. Manager.
• Requires 2 years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience AND Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) OR 2-year Technical Associates degree OR 2 additional years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience OR 2 years field operational experience OR approval by Sr. Manager.
• Requires 4 years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience AND one of the following: Bachelor’s degree OR 2-year Technical Associates degree OR 2 additional years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience OR 2 years field operational experience OR approval by Sr. Manager.
• Requires 6 years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience AND one of the following: Bachelor’s degree OR 2-year Technical Associates degree OR 2 additional years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience OR 2 years field operational experience OR approval by Sr. Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple distribution projects for new residential and commercial businesses, including meeting with customers, design of line extensions, estimating costs, and preparing construction drawings.
• Coordinate and lead pre-design and pre-construction meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations to aid planning, including load studies, fault current, and voltage drop analyses.
• Provide leadership and technical support to local operations and ensure compliance with distribution design standards.
• Assist Right of Way with permits and ROW documents.
• Support storm restoration efforts as needed, including damage assessment activities.
