Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer I-Sr. to meet with customers, design distribution facilities, and support reliability projects.

The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, performing calculations, and preparing construction drawings for overhead and underground extensions. The position responsibilities include leading pre-design meetings, supporting storm restoration efforts, and ensuring adherence to design standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication.
• Basic theory of electricity; interpret construction drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.

• Good math skills and familiarity with NEC and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to determine service needs and design overhead and underground extensions.
• Coordinate and lead pre-design and pre-construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations to aid planning and design (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
• Provide leadership and technical support to operations and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Aid Right of Way with permits and ROW documents.
• Assist with storm restoration and damage assessment activities.
