Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. in Parkersburg, WV, seeks a Supervisor, Engineering Services (Distribution Design) to lead a team of Distribution Designers onsite at the Parkersburg service center.

You will coordinate daily design activities, apply tariff criteria, and manage work requests with focus on safety and reliability. This position reports to the Manager, Engineering Services and requires strong project oversight, communication with customers and internal teams, and ability to drive continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited institution with minimum 5 years relevant work experience; OR a Two-year degree in Engineering Technology with at least 8 years relevant work experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus; previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in process/project development, planning/analysis, and performance reporting.
• Working knowledge of SAP, CREWS, and GIS; ability to navigate CREWS and related design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating a high level of safety commitment in daily functions.
• Creating notifications in SAP and assigning work requests to Distribution Designers.
• Ensuring accurate and timely billing with Business Services for all work requests.
• Applying Tariff criteria for billable work and service extensions; managing Line Extensions.
• Reviewing customer complaints related to line extension and billing policies and reporting progress to management.
• Leading and coaching team members to improve effectiveness and communicate results to senior leadership.
• Driving continuous improvement across the team and sharing industry trends.
