Job summary

Westwood Professional Services is seeking an Engineering Supervisor, Power Distribution to lead a staff of engineers and technical designers in utility engineering design, cost estimates, and deliverables for distribution customers.

The role requires overseeing project planning, scheduling, and delivery while ensuring adherence to client procedures, design standards, and safety codes. Collaboration with substation/transmission teams may occur, with responsibilities in mentoring and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree requirements and 6–8+ years of relevant Power Distribution experience
• Advanced knowledge of overhead and underground distribution facilities
• Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards
• Ability to supervise engineers and technicians with high standards

Responsibilities

• Supervise and audit engineering teams on designs, estimates, and customer billing
• Manage project schedules, assign staff, and monitor progress
• Review and approve engineering designs and documentation
• Provide performance feedback and mentorship to staff
• Serve as primary contact for project stakeholders and report on KPIs
• Drive process improvements within the engineering team
• Collaborate with Distribution Engineering Manager and other departments
