Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team in our distribution center, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient handling of merchandise while meeting company goals.

You will hire, evaluate, coach, and develop associates, with responsibility for 20 to 30 staff, and you will monitor metrics to drive productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost control. This is an on-site role requiring shift flexibility and knowledge of warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• 45% Managing Process: Ensures operations procedures are followed and identifies changes to improve efficiency.
• 25% Coaching and Developing Associates: Trains, coaches and evaluates hourly associates; handles hiring, discipline and termination as needed.
• 15% Drives Results: Maintains inventory accuracy and analyzes metrics for productivity, accuracy, quality and expenses.
• 15% Business Planning: Plans staffing and operations to align with the business plan and addresses irregularities.
