Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly distribution team and influence the broader distribution center operations. You will hire, evaluate, develop, and terminate hourly staff, ensuring safe, efficient merchandise handling and achievement of team goals.

You will coach and develop associates, monitor productivity and quality, manage inventory accuracy, and plan staffing to meet business needs. Travel is occasional and the role reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead an hourly team of 20 to 30 associates.
• Ensure procedures are followed and drive safety, productivity and quality.
• Hire, evaluate, develop, and discipline hourly associates as needed.
• Monitor and improve key metrics including productivity and inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager/Asst. General Manager on business planning and staffing.
