Job summary

The Home Depot in California is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead 20-30 hourly associates and drive efficient, safe, and productive distribution operations. You will hire, evaluate, develop, and manage the team, ensuring accurate merchandise handling and execution of team goals.

Responsibilities include coaching, training, process optimization, and reporting on key metrics while coordinating with the Operations Manager and leadership team.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to relocate.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• 45% Managing Process: Ensures operations procedures are followed and identifies changes to standard processes.
• 25% Coaching and Developing Associates: Trains, coaches and evaluates hourly associates and handles hiring, discipline and terminations.
• 15% Drives Results: Maintains inventory accuracy and analyzes reports for improvements in productivity, accuracy, quality and expenses.
• 15% Business Planning: Coordinates operations to align with business plan and plan staffing for optimal department operations.
• Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
