Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily DC operations, lead and develop a high-performing team, and ensure safe, accurate movement of merchandise across receiving, stocking, ordering, and shipping functions.

The role emphasizes achieving productivity, coaching staff, and maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and overall DC performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflow to meet operational deadlines.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and general materials handling processes.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, routing systems, or AS400 platforms.
• Desire to improve operational metrics, productivity, and workflow.
• Completion of O’Reilly supervisor training programs.
• Proficiency in one or more additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily distribution center operations within the supervised area for efficiency.
• Lead, train, schedule, evaluate, and coach DC team members promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Monitor workflow and staffing to meet daily goals and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and DOT regulations if applicable.
• Coordinate with the operations manager to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
• Provide leadership by communicating expectations and highlighting growth opportunities.
• Conduct team meetings, safety discussions, and on-the-job training.
• Ensure operators of powered equipment are trained and operating safely.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Support budgeting, payroll tracking, capital expenditure planning, and reporting.
