Job summary

You will train and develop team members, monitor workflow, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain consistent operations. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling.
• Experience with WMS, inventory, routing, or AS/400 platforms.
• Experience with operational metrics and productivity expectations.
• Previous supervisory experience in DC/warehouse/logistics.
• Completion of O’Reilly supervisor training programs.
• Proficiency in one or more additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising and coordinating daily distribution center operations for supervised area to ensure operational efficiency.
• Help lead, train, schedule, evaluate, and coach distribution center team members while promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Monitor departmental workflow and staffing levels to meet daily goals and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and DOT regulations if applicable.
• Support inbound/outbound merchandise processes to ensure proper receiving, stocking, and delivery.
• Coordinate with DC supervisors and ops managers to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
• Provide leadership by communicating expectations and addressing growth opportunities.
• Conduct team meetings, safety discussions, and on-the-job training.
• Ensure operators are trained, certified, and operating safely.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Support budgeting, payroll tracking, capex planning, and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Monitor metrics and drive process improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
