Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to assist with daily operations, training, scheduling, and team development across assigned centers. You will drive productivity, accuracy, and safety while ensuring policy compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with supervisors and managers to balance workload, coaching opportunities, and operational excellence across receiving, stocking, and shipping processes.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflow to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling processes.
• Experience with WMS, inventory routing systems or AS400 platforms.
• Experience with metrics, productivity targets, and workflow management.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a distribution center or warehouse.
• Completion of supervisor training programs.
• Proficiency in one or more additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising and coordinating daily distribution center operations for the supervised area to ensure efficiency.
• Lead, train, schedule, evaluate, and coach team members to promote accountability and teamwork.
• Monitor workflow and staffing to meet daily goals and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support inbound and outbound merchandise processes to ensure proper handling and delivery.
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
• Provide leadership by communicating expectations and addressing growth opportunities.
• Conduct team meetings, safety discussions, and on-the-job training.
• Ensure trained, certified operation of powered equipment.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training.
• Support budgeting, payroll tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and identify unsafe practices.
• Monitor operational metrics and implement process improvements.
