Job summary

TBC Corporation is seeking a Distribution Center Assistant Manager in San Jose, CA. The role leads daily operations of the distribution center, enforcing SOPs, managing staff and assets, and driving KPI performance across safety, productivity, and cost metrics.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipping/receiving, inventory control, labor planning, and collaboration with HR to manage hiring and training. A 4-year degree in related fields is preferred and bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in warehouse distribution or transportation.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated management experience including leadership and motivational ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Lean methodology and driving change in a dynamic environment.
• Safety-focused mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all elements of distribution center operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and route management.
• Ensure SOPs are consistently applied to achieve KPIs.
• Manage and protect assets including inventory, equipment, and facility.
• Control labor and other variable costs to align with annual plans.
• Report on KPIs: customer service, productivity, and costs.
• Drive accountability and performance across the team.
