Job summary

zTrip, North America's largest taxi transportation provider, is seeking a Dispatcher for the Weekend Shift in Nashville. You will coordinate service coverage, support drivers, and ensure safe, reliable transportation across the weekend.

The role emphasizes fast-paced problem solving, strong communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams, and attention to detail to maintain high service levels. Weekend schedule is Friday–Sunday with early morning shifts.

What You'll Do as a Dispatcher:

Dispatch & Service Coordination

• Dispatch and assign drivers to ensure efficient trip coverage and service availability
• Monitor trip activity and transportation operations throughout the shift
• Adjust driver assignments and schedules as service demands change
• Identify and resolve service delays, coverage gaps, and operational challenges
• Help maintain on-time service and maximize operational efficiency
• Ensure seamless communication between drivers and operations teams

Driver Support

• Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers during weekend operations
• Provide trip details, route information, and schedule updates
• Assist drivers with operational issues and trip-related questions
• Communicate service changes and important operational updates
• Support drivers in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services

Customer Service & Communication

• Assist customers with transportation inquiries and trip-related concerns
• Provide accurate updates regarding service status and scheduling
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
• Coordinate solutions for service interruptions and scheduling changes
• Help create a positive customer experience through responsive communication

Administrative & Operational Support

• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip logs, and operational documentation
• Complete data entry and administrative tasks as required
• Assist with reporting and operational tracking
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Support daily workflows that contribute to overall service success

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with operations, customer support, and management teams
• Share important service updates and operational information
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment

Qualifications of a Dispatcher:

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, scheduling, customer service, or operations coordination preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with dispatching, scheduling, or fleet management software is a plus
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry
• Valid driver's license required
