Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks an Emergency Dispatch Specialist to handle incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinate rapid routing, and dispatch units as needed. You will document calls for legal, medical, and statistical purposes and follow up with referring entities to improve access and quality of care. Strong communication and composure are essential.

• Dispatch emergency units and coordinate air medical flights as appropriate and per established algorithms.
• Maintain documentation of calls and physician/service referrals for legal, medical and statistical purposes.
• Follow up with referring entities for ease of access, marketing, evaluation, and quality improvement.
