Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Manhattan is seeking a licensed RN to join its Emergency Department on rotating shifts. You will execute clinical care plans, administer orders, and monitor vitals while coordinating with physicians and teams to deliver safe, attentive care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• RN license in Kansas before hire.
• ALS/BLS/PALS certifications within required timelines.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Champion individualized patient care by executing clinical care plans, administering physician orders, and monitoring vitals to ensure every patient receives safe, attentive, and personalized treatment.
• Serve as the clinical anchor across care teams by coordinating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver seamless, holistic care throughout the patient's stay.
• Advocate for patient safety and progress by closely tracking conditions, responding swiftly to clinical changes, and maintaining clear, accurate documentation of each care journey.
• Guide safe transitions home by partnering with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and execute thorough, confident discharge plans.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
