Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher who will direct the day-to-day route operations and report to the Dispatch Supervisors. This role involves daily communication with drivers and clients, organizing activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time performance. Responsibilities include tracking sign-in/sign-out times, ensuring route timeliness, and communicating service issues to supervisors or managers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle client calls and communicate issues with drivers and dispatch supervisors/managers as appropriate.
• Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service quality.
• Promote positive employee morale and customer service.
• Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
• Assign trips to drivers to ensure balanced workload.
• Monitor daily system performance.
• Participate in analyzing and reviewing operational performance.
• Report route delays or early starts to supervisors or managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• One (1) year of previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Trapeze software.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Professional phone manner.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
