Job Overview

Transdev is hiring a Dispatcher in Sandusky, OH. This position is non‑remote and must be located in the local area. The role is full‑time and non‑CBA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee road service by tracking driver performance, ensuring routes begin on time, monitoring incidents, and measuring overall performance.
• Provide customer support, responding to questions, concerns, and issues regarding customer trips, including no‑shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as a liaison between carriers and emergency services.
• Review route performance daily and proactively respond to situations that impact customer service.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
• 3‑5 years of dispatching experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work shifts and flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical assessment if applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, lift materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance, and occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to reach equipment stored at ground level.

Benefits

• Competitive compensation: $17.00–$21.00 per hour.
• Vacation: minimum two (2) weeks.
• Sick days: 5 days.
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating).
