Job summary

MERJ Fleet Services, Inc. in Buffalo, NY, seeks a part-time weekend dispatcher to handle Saturday and Sunday shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM for both days. You will answer service calls, dispatch emergency roadside repair or towing, and document all details per company protocol.

The role requires data entry, processing payments, and coordination with technicians using fleet software such as Intuit, Fleetmatics Reveal, Life 360, and related apps. Reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Weekend dispatcher role requiring reliability and prompt communication.
• Experience with documenting service calls and tow information.
• Comfort with payment processing and basic data entry.
• Familiarity with fleet-related mobile apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take service calls and dispatch for emergency roadside repair or towing.
• Follow up by inputting service calls and tows into the system.
• Data entry of work orders from emails or hardcopy by road-service staff.
• Process payments by phone (credit cards) and enter in payments.
• Enter payments by check and email confirmations when needed.
• Call to obtain Event Numbers for thruway calls and close events.
• Use Thruway camera app, Life 360, and Fleetmatics Reveal.
• Assist technicians and mechanics with questions related to service and tow calls.

We are looking to hire a part time dispatcher for weekends only. Saturday and Sunday hours are 6:30 am until 2:30pm for both days

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Taking service calls and dispatching incoming calls for emergency roadside repair or towing services needed to the mechanic/technicians. Will be expected to follow company protocol for documenting all necessary information on the repair or tow that is needed.
• Follow up with input of service calls and tows.
• Data entry of work orders given to you through email or hardcopy by road-service techs and mechanics from jobs completed on roadside or off site facilities.
• Processing of credit card phone orders and entering in payments collected from customers through the software application of Intuit.
• Entering payments by check and virtual credit card emails from customers.
• Call to get Event Number for thruway calls and close event when work is completed.
• Use of Thruway camera app, Life 360, and Fleetmatics Reveal.
• Assist technicians/mechanics with questions relating to service and tow calls.

Job Type: Part Time Weekends

Hours: Saturdays from 6:00 AM until 2:30PM
Sundays from 6:00 AM until 2:30PM
