GPAC is recruiting for a Dispatch Manager to lead the Houston market dispatch operation onsite. This leadership role oversees a dispatch team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable daily transportation operations in a fuel/tanker environment.

The position focuses on coaching, performance management, and process improvement while collaborating with drivers, customers, and leadership to keep freight moving.

Qualifications

• Proven dispatch management or supervisory experience.
• Experience overseeing dispatch teams.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and dispatch operations.
• Fuel, petroleum, tanker, or bulk-liquid experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the dispatch center.
• Coach and develop a team of dispatch professionals.
• Coordinate transportation activity for efficient, timely service.
• Support dispatchers in resolving driver, customer, scheduling, and operational issues.
• Monitor workloads and adjust priorities as needed.
• Maintain communication between dispatch, drivers, operations, leadership, and customers.
• Establish accountability and consistent dispatch processes.
• Monitor team performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support training and development of dispatch personnel.
• Resolve escalated service and transportation issues.
• Ensure proper use of transportation management systems and documentation.
