GPAC is recruiting for a Dispatch Manager to lead the Houston market dispatch operation onsite. This leadership role oversees a dispatch team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable daily transportation operations in a fuel/tanker environment.

The position focuses on coaching, performance management, and process improvement while collaborating with drivers, customers, and leadership to keep freight moving.

Qualifications

• Proven dispatch management or supervisory experience.
• Experience overseeing dispatch teams.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and dispatch operations.
• Fuel, petroleum, tanker, or bulk-liquid experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the dispatch center.

A long-standing and reputable regional transportation company is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead its dispatch operation in the Houston market.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who understands transportation dispatch but has progressed beyond personally managing loads. We're looking for a leader who can oversee, coach, and develop a dispatch team while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable daily transportation operations.

Experience within fuel, petroleum, tanker, or bulk transportation is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the dispatch center.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of dispatch professionals.
• Coordinate transportation activity to maintain efficient and timely service.
• Support dispatchers in resolving driver, customer, scheduling, and operational issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven dispatch management or supervisory experience.
• Experience directly overseeing and developing dispatch teams.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and dispatch operations.
• Fuel, petroleum, tanker, or bulk-liquid transportation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people-development skills.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, time-sensitive transportation operation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience handling driver, customer, and operational escalations.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively across dispatch, operations, drivers, customers, and leadership.

Technology Experience

Experience with Gravitate is highly desirable.

Candidates with experience using TMW or comparable Transportation Management Systems (TMS) are also encouraged to apply.
