Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Dispatch Manager in Virginia to lead delivery operations, supervise drivers and dispatchers, and optimize routing for on-time performance across branches. You will coordinate with warehouse teams and inside sales to resolve issues, maintain safety standards, and ensure efficient fleet operations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in distribution/logistics and a track record in supervisor roles, with DOT regulations knowledge and routing software experience.

• 7+ years of experience in logistics or distribution.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

A Dispatch Manager at White Cap

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Generally has 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with routing software.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

For Virginia job seekers: Pay Range $61,300.00-$88,900.00 Annual Virginia law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
