Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Manager in Montgomery, Alabama. The role oversees delivery drivers and dispatch staff, ensuring safe, on-time routing and fleet maintenance to support major construction projects across the region.

You will collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve delivery issues, optimize routes, and maintain accurate inventory controls while driving a culture of safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in distribution/logistics management.
• Experience supervising delivery drivers and dispatch staff.
• Knowledge of routing software and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
