Job summary

White Cap in Virginia is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations, recruit and supervise drivers, and ensure trucks are loaded and dispatched safely. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

The position coordinates with the Warehouse and Inside Sales teams to meet planned and unplanned deliveries, maintain fleet health, optimize routes, and uphold DOT regulations. 7+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.
