Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations at our Montgomery, AL branch. You will recruit and oversee Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers, ensure trucks are loaded safely, and route drivers to meet scheduled and unscheduled deliveries, while maintaining fleet compliance and inventory coordination.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in dispatch or logistics, experience with routing software, and familiarity with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in dispatch or logistics.
• Experience with routing software.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
