Job summary

Pacific Coast Fresh Company in Portland, OR is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation needs and support wholesale order processing. You will work with multiple software platforms to optimize dispatch and routing while aligning with company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred with 3+ years of transportation experience or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate across the organization
• Team-oriented with focus on company interests when making decisions
• Ability to learn the Portland Metro area and key customers

Responsibilities

• Dispatch day-to-day off-route needs for Pacific Coast Fresh and decide routing based on drivers and customers
• Assist with order taking for wholesale customers
• Handle Will Call and Wholesale calls for order taking and processing
• Use multiple platforms for dispatching (ProducePro, Dispatch Track, Samsara)
• Support day-to-day department operations
• Assist in scheduling employees to meet department needs and maintain on-call driver lists
• Recommend staffing changes to meet workload demands
• Promote values of Service, Quality, Integrity, Growth, Sustainability, & Family
• Collaborate with transportation and warehouse teams to ensure timely routes and shipments
• Attend department and driver meetings
