Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Dispatcher/Administrative Assistant to provide timely response to customer inquiries, dispatch drivers on pre-set routes, and ensure efficient customer service. You will interact with Customer Service, Transportation Supervisors, and Facility Managers to resolve issues and maintain compliance.

The role emphasizes daily route planning, handling handheld devices, and keeping operational records, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, JJ Keller, Atlas routing software.

Responsibilities

• Assists drivers with problems/issues as they arise.
• Communicate driver issues with Customer Service, Transportation Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.
• Assist Customer Service with customer requests, route changes, rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.
• Provides highest level of customer service to all customers.
• Monitor and elevate Salesforce cases to supervisor.
• Assist walk-in customers in the area.
• Assist Transportation Supervisor on Logistics and Transportation.
• Understand and review daily the Atlas routing system.
• Conduct daily debriefs for all drivers per SOPs.
• Assist drivers with handheld/printer use and back-up to mobile hub.
• Build and print routes for drivers daily with shipping documents and labels.
• Dispatch drivers for extra or missed pickups.
• Create/distribute load sheets and review driver paperwork.
• Forward VCR reports for maintenance requests.
• Review and update routes and new customers daily.
• Complete manifests for trailer shipments.
• Maintain balanced routes daily.
• Prepare reviews and stamp all manifests.
• Assist Supervisor/Manager as needed.
• Download PDTs and handle 3rd party hauler paperwork.
• Track DOT hours/JJ Keller.
• Enforce company policies and procedures and communicate updates.
• Lead staff meetings and share developments.
