Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to understand and retain simple instructions and apply them to position.
• Possess basic knowledge of kitchen operation and use of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparation and presentation of food.
• Manage dishwashing area and cleanliness of dishes, silverware and glassware.
• Prepare food items as requested; portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors and equipment.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation and keep dishwasher clean.
• Assist dining room service, e.g., pouring beverages.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator; report problems to supervisor.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
