Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook with food preparation and presentation, manage the dishwashing area, and support dining operations.

You will prepare items, portion salads and desserts, help clean the kitchen and equipment, run the dishwashing station, stock shelves, and provide superior service to residents and guests. Flex hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others
• Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects up to 20 feet
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested
• Portion and plate salads and desserts
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, including floors and equipment
• Set up and run the dishwashing operation
• Clean pots and pans as needed
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment
• Take out all garbage
• Assist with dining room service as needed
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator
• Report problems in kitchen or dining room to supervisor
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests
