Job summary

O’Charley’s is seeking a Dish Operator to support our kitchen by operating and maintaining the dish machine, safely cleaning and storing dishes, and maintaining a clean dishroom. You will work closely with Line Cooks to ensure efficient service and uphold food safety standards.

The role requires ability to stand for long periods and handle regular physical tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a dish machine and follow proper silverware procedures.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance measures and standard cleaning procedures.
• Understanding of proper chemical usage and guest interaction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down dish machine and ensure proper operation and maintenance.
• Wash, store dishes and silverware according to procedures; monitor water temperature.
• Check trash and maintain cleanliness of dishroom; manage waste and liners.
• Keep dishroom and detergent storage neat; maintain dry floors.
• Work as a team with Line Cooks to maintain clean kitchen and efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Manager.
