Job summary

Canopy by Hilton Memphis Downtown Beale Street is hiring a Dishwasher/Busser to support our vibrant hotel dining team. You will prepare tables, assist guests, maintain clean dining areas, and help with service flow to ensure a memorable guest experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and consistent communication in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior food service experience is welcome, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Prior Food Service experience is ideal, but willing to train the right person.
• Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions.
• A genuine passion for the culinary arts, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, ensuring efficient service even during peak dining hour.
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
• Attend to customers upon entrance.
• Keep tables clean and tidy at all times.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
• Dress in appropriate event staff uniform at all times, while also maintaining professional appearance.
• Refill condiments and server station supplies at end of each shift. May require performing other shift closing tasks to be determined by Director of Food & Beverage.
• Act with the highest level of integrity in every decision.
