Job summary

Bigwhiskeys is seeking a reliable dishwasher to wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. You will keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized to support smooth restaurant service.

You will load, run, and unload the dish machine, monitor water temperature for sanitary cycles, and help with light prep and portioning as needed. No prior restaurant experience is required.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required.
• Able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
• Physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Stand for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.

Responsibilities

Summary of Position

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload dish machine
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine’s water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
• Preform trash audits every 15 minutes
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
• Help with light prep and portioning

Qualifications
