• Able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods.
• Physically able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Able to safely lift up to 60 pounds multiple times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Load, run, and unload dish machine.
• Keep dish machine clean and report problems.
• Monitor dish machine’s water temperature for sanitation.
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
• Maintain clean dish room.
• Ensure adequate levels of clean tableware.
• Perform trash audits every 15 minutes.
• Bag and haul dish room trash.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage.
• Maintain dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation areas as needed.
• Fill in as needed for smooth operations.
• Assist with light prep and portioning.

Summary of Position

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload dish machine
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine’s water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
• Preform trash audits every 15 minutes
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
• Help with light prep and portioning
