Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is hiring for a dishwashing position in Palo Alto, California. No previous restaurant experience is required as training will be provided. The role involves washing and cleaning tableware, cooking equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dish room.

Candidates must be physically able to lift and carry items, work in a standing position for long hours, and handle a humid and loud environment. This position ensures smooth kitchen operations by keeping the area organized and functional.

Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required. We will train you.
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long period of time.
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks (up to 60 pounds) many times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.
• Keep the dish-room and equipment clean and organized.
• Load, run and unload the dish machine.
• Keep dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
