Job summary

Mosquito Joe of Arkansas is seeking a dependable dishwasher to wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean dish room and organized supplies. You will load and run the dish machine, monitor water temperature for sanitary cycles, restock utensils, and assist with light prep as needed.

No prior restaurant experience is required; you must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds. This on-site role supports a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature for sanitary cycles.
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware.
• Perform trash audits every 15 minutes.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster as needed.
• Handle tableware to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food prep and production areas as required.
• Be available to fill in to ensure smooth operation; assist with light prep and portioning.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload dish machine
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine’s water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
• Preform trash audits every 15 minutes
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
• Help with light prep and portioning

Qualifications

• Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift
