Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Hutto, TX is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our team. You will be responsible for washing dishes, maintaining a clean dishwashing station, and supporting the service line with clean wares.

Must hold a Food Handler Certificate and be fluent in English. The role offers flexible part-time schedules and opportunities to grow within a historic BBQ legacy.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) required for handling orders and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware and other utensils; place them in racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to service line and storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and dispose of it in dumpsters.
• Set up or breakdown the dishwashing area and maintain cleanliness of the station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to service line and other proper storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
• Set up or break down dishwashing area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish-washing station
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education and/or ExperienceFood Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.
• While performing the duties of this job, he/she is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
• He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
