Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Hutto, TX is seeking a part-time dishwasher to support busy service areas with timely dishwashing and station maintenance. The role involves cleaning areas, loading and unloading, and ensuring a sanitary kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish-washing station; perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to service line and other proper storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
• Set up or break down dishwashing area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish-washing station
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.

While performing the duties of this job, he/she is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
